Who can participate in FAR AWAY 2026?

Anyone aged 15–25 from India can participate. Whether you are a school student, college student, self-taught coder, or just starting out — everyone is welcome. No prior hackathon experience needed.

How much does FAR AWAY hackathon registration cost?

Accepted Answer

Registration is completely free until 30 April 2026 as part of the early-bird window. This is open for all participants across India.

Question 3

Are expenses covered for the Japan finale (Round 3)?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The top 5 teams from the Delhi round fly to Japan with all expenses fully sponsored — including flights, accommodation, meals, and local transportation. Visa details will be confirmed separately.

Question 4

Can I participate solo or do I need a team for FAR AWAY?

You can register as an individual. Team formation details and guidelines will be shared after Round 1 registration closes. You can also form teams on your own before registering.

What programming languages or tools can I use?

Accepted Answer

There are no restrictions on programming languages, frameworks, or tools. You can use anything you are comfortable with — from Python and JavaScript to low-code platforms. Creativity and real-world impact matter more than the tech stack.

How does signup verification work for FAR AWAY?

After you submit your registration details, we send a 6-digit verification code to your email address. Enter that code on the website to complete your registration.
